SIS, a UK-wide specialised retailer offering personal protective equipment (PPE), workwear, safety gear, hi-visibility clothing (hi-vis), footwear and industrial supplies, has experienced significant growth under new leadership in 2024.

Research on railway colleagues has shown while PPE should have a 3-year lifespan, there are some brands that deteriorate much faster. Grant elaborates, saying, “We invest in top-quality products without cutting corners. To control costs, we optimise team practices, leverage bulk orders for discounts and form strategic partnerships. It’s about efficiency without compromising safety.

“This is also so important in reducing wastage and improving our customers’ environmental impact. PPE has to be used and will therefore, in time, provide an environmental impact. We’re determined to reduce that as much as possible.”

Grant aims to expand their footprint to reach clients in both the north and south regions. He shares, “We are working to launch further SIS stores throughout the UK beyond the ones we have currently, bringing us closer to our valued clients.
